We've moved!!

Note: I started this Nov. 11 and just got back to it tonight...Dec. 7th : 0

Ahhh, my life has been crazy. We so happy to have the whole ordeal behind us! Here is our new happy home. In town, in a neighborhood, on a quiet street, with no one directly behind us : ) 3 minutes from Walmart, 5 minutes from Kroger and school. Could life get any better?

We were in contract for 6 weeks before we finally closed on our house. It was a mess. I would never recommend Chase Bank to anyone for anything. Sorry if you work at or love Chase.

Here is the (long) scoop, we got an offer, negotiated and accepted...yeah!! We looked and found a house, loved it, made an offer, negotiated, and they accepted. Easy right...not so much. Our buyers had not asked for any inspections and then got concerned, that was the first call. Then Chase waited to process their information and get the appraisal. It was done almost 3 weeks after we got the offer. Then that took forever. They had an FHA loan so we had to fix a few little things: our front door stuck, they thought that spray paint on insulation was mold so we had an inspector out, and we had to paint our out building. All done in 24 hours, phew. We thought we were moving along. Chase continued to drag their feet 'needing' a septic inspection. This was two weeks past our original closing and at the end of our contract. We decided to walk away from the buyers instead of going through 2 more weeks of the bank crap. We decided we'd still buy the house we found and hope (and pray) to rent the other house.

It was a miracle, Chase called Ken on Friday (the last day of the contract) at 5: 30 as he was sitting on a plane in Chicago. We were in complete shock that they had somehow worked it out.

We are slowly putting things together...not easy with 2 - 1 year olds!!

Sorry for being MIA for so long. I have lots more pictures to share...hopefully it will be sooner than later!

Birthday Fun!

We celebrated the girls birthday last Sunday (I know, I'm way behind. Welcome to my life right now!) I still can't believe that they are one. Connor seemed so much older at 1. Maybe that is an oldest child thing...or maybe that is just made up in my head!

We had a cupcake theme. They each had a cakes that they shared with everyone, and the girls got their own little cupcake. Molly really enjoyed hers, icing and all. Addy did picking at hers, she wasn't so sure about everyone watching her.
They got way too much. Ken would like to outlaw any more toys at our house : ) Mommy is pretty excited at Bitty Baby! I think Addy is too! I hope I have one girly girl!

Connor was just thrilled to have his cousins there to play with him. Time files, we are trying to enjoy the moment!

Birthday Eve

I cannot believe my babies will be one tomorrow. Last year this time I was freaking out because I was having 2 babies and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I think we did a pretty good job of figuring things out!
They are amazing and each a wonderful (but different) addition to our family. I look forward to the all the wonderful things they will bring to our life...

Check back soon for our weekend birthday fun!!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Check out these cuties in the tub!
They love bath time and you should have seen their excitement when they realized they could splash each other! This is a new adventure at our house, but one that seems to be going quite well!

11 months

A little late, daddy's birthday took precedence over the 11 month post. We took the pictures almost on time, it is the posting that I really procrastinated on. We are down to the final 1 year count down...I can't believe it! Last year this time, was giant and miserable. We'll scroll down memory lane before the big day!

The girls are so busy! We are still holding steady at 4 teeth (2 each) although Molly has one that is really close. They are loving people food especially pizza and gold fish! No walking yet, but I'm sure it will be soon, I can't wait!! They walk behind things and do a lot of standing (not holding on to anything) on their own.
Here the cuties are...Addy likes to get an up close picture to show off those blue eyes!

So sweet Molly, and her blue eyes too!I can't wait until next month ; )

Daddy is 30!

Ken celebrated his 30th birthday this week...in Chicago, for work : (
So we celebrated all weekend! Yesterday we went and rode trains with my parents (I forgot my camera!) and today we had a small cook-out with both of our parents. For the past month, I felt like I should be doing so much more for him, but the thought never turned into any more than that. We have so much going on right now! More later on that...We had a great time tonight, Nana even made him a hat cake!
He doesn't love the idea of being in his thirties, but he sure has accomplished a lot at his young age!!

We love you daddy!!

Double Trouble

I wonder if they are as tired as I am!!

10 months!

This is a very busy time of year for me. Besides the craziness of my everyday life, we are preparing to go back to school. As you can imagine, it is very difficult to get my classroom ready! The girls go wild pulling things off the bookshelves . That was the only day they have experienced getting out of the stroller! Since then, I have been trying to go by myself after baths are over and bed is around the corner!!

The kids have been back to Cathy's twice in the last week so I could attend a class and a meeting. She can't believe how they've changed over the summer. They are turning into real wild little people!

Addy has stopped falling on her head : ) Molly is pulling herself up but she never did the falling on her head. She was way more cautious about it (like her brother). I tell people I am afraid that Addy is going to be our first trip to the ER. She currently has 3 quite visible bruises on her head/face. I wonder what people think when they see her!

I am loving the changes. They are eating more table food, working the sippy cups, trying to talk, and always looking for mommy : 0
ADDY

MOLLYI can't believe it is time again for school. I'm never ready to back, but I guess I'll just jump in with both feet!!

9 Months!

Every month I think back to how far we've come. The girls are doing so much more than they were last month!! I feel as if we've regressed a bit though. I spend most of my day following them around making sure they don't get into something they shouldn't. They are pulling themselves up on everything (especially Addy) and there have been may times where they just fall back on their heads. So when I'm not following them, I'm sitting behind them ready to catch whoever falls. I so don't remember this with Connor. It is frustrating...going to the bathroom is a challenge. Any suggestions?!?

So I ran into this woman tonight at CVS (I had all 3 kids with me), here is our conversation:
stranger: twins?!
me: yep
stranger: I have twins too, they are 3.
me: Oh good, I'll get there some day.
stranger: yeah, it doesn't get any easier. There is always something.
me: I look forward to them being his age (patting compliant Connor on the head), I love this age.
stranger: they have a big brother too.
me: he is a great help, I wouldn't trade him for anything.
I thought it was an odd conversation. I think in most respects it is easier already.
Ok enough griping, here are the cuties! We go to the dr. next week, so no stats yet.

Addy

There she goes!

Addy doesn't sit still. She is a monkey and tries to climb on anyone/anything. She is going to be my dare devil. She makes changing her diapers, bath, and getting her dressed miserable. She is constantly trying to crawl away, she is now crawling correctly! No teeth yet, but they have got to be close.

Molly

Molly has developed this little thing where she randomly throws up. We've been to the dr., they aren't worried. I am always on guard waiting for it! Needless to say, we hate to leave the house for meals! She has two teeth and has mastered clapping and waving. It is so cute! She loves to sing!

Sorry for the blabbering tonight. I know they are beautiful and sweet and so much more. I know how lucky I truly am!

Worker Guy

We have a very busy 'worker guy' (as he calls himself) at our house. He is always willing to help get jobs done : ) I can only imagine what his future holds!

This isn't even our car...it's Ken company car. He is a busy boy!

8 Months!

I can't believe how big my girls are getting!! I get excited everyday at how far we have come. Most nights, everyone in my house sleeps through the night! About 7 months ago I wondered if I would ever sleep more than a few hours at a time!! Here they are!
Addy

Addy is my mover these days...she is crawling!!! She does the army crawl and rocks on all fours. She gets to just about anything she shouldn't have! She also says a strange form of 'hi', dadadada, and just yesterday babababa. She is the best sleeper in the house! She has learned to pull her bows out of her hair, so it is usually crazy!!

Molly

Molly scoots on her belly, she wants to get places and gets so mad when she can't get there fast enough! She is sitting up on her own! She is much happier when she can sit and play...I'm sure they are tired of ceilings!! She says dadada and is trying to clap. She wants table food in the worst way, but her mom is a chicken about that! We are slowly giving her a few things!

Both girls have an unbelievable bond with their big brother. I am so glad that he returns the love for them, he is excellent with them! I can't get enough of them!!

Breakthrough

We had a small breakthrough at our house last week.
Addy can hold her own bottle!!? I don't know if this is early or late on the milestone chart, I just know that it is a huge help at our house!! I can only imagine the amount of time I have spent feeding two babies over the past 7 1/2 months...this comes as a huge help! Molly on the other hand still prefers to be fed : ) Yeah, Addy!!
Coming soon...guess what else Addy is doing??!

*Free* Mouse Pad!

In all my time that I am spending at home, I have been doing some couponing. It can be quite addictive! I came across an offer for a free mouse pad today from Rite-Aid. I can't pass that up or sharing with everyone else. I hope Ken loves the free part of his Father's Day gift!!

Go here to check it out! Thanks, Mojo Savings!

Summer Break!

My last day of school was Thursday.
We had a meeting on Friday.
Yesterday I had appointments so the kids went to Cathy's.

So today is my first 'official' day of summer break ; )
Too bad my one sweet little alarm went off at 5:04, which woke up my other sweet alarm.
What a way to start the summer! I did go in and attempt at getting them to fall back asleep. It worked, but at different times! I stayed in bed until I got the call from the little man at 6:50. We have been on the move ever since.
Connor requested scrambled eggs for his summer breakfast. While I was making them, a concert formed in my kitchen. As you can see, Addy was totally into it! Connor is a great entertainer/helper.

Addy would like to get a hold of that guitar!

Connor getting ready to dig in!!

I am so excited to be off for a bit. My 'to do' list grows by the minute. We don't have too terribly much planned for our summer, just a lot of hanging out. We are at that stage with the girls where they need a lot of napping. I'm ok with being jailed to the house for them, I just hope Connor doesn't go stir crazy!!

7 months!

I didn't want to be too terribly late with the girls 7 month photos!! They are still changing and developing their own little personalities every day.

Here is what they are up to:

Addy rolls all over the place. She can just about get anything she has her eyes set on.
Molly rolls some, usually to reach a bottle that has been set just out of reach.
Addy has been sleeping 10 hours for over a month.
Molly is usually up once or twice a night, 2-3 times a week.

Molly is trying so hard to sit up nice and tall on her own.
Addy would rather be cuddled by mommy.

Molly has severe separation anxiety.
Addy does not (thank goodness!)

Both girls love their exersaucers.

Both girls light up when they see their brother!

Both girls are eating lots of fruits and veggies.

Addy

Molly

I can't get enough of either one of them ; )

6 months...oh so late!

Ok, ok...I know the girls will be 7 months in 5 days. Where have I been? This is my crazy time of year and now I've added two beautiful babies to the mix!! My hands are full, I feel like I am running to try and catch up most days. Only 13 more days until summer. I can't believe it : )

I was late taking the pictures and then I kept putting off posting. Sadly, I don't remember their 6 month lengths and weights. I didn't remember them when I was leaving the office, it's not easy trying to remember the stats for two babies. Yes, I usually write them down!

Here they are: more beautiful and amazing with everyday. Check back in a week for their 7 month picture!! I'll update you on their little personalities then too!

Could you tell them apart if I didn't tell you who was who??
Addy
Molly

Not to be out done, it's the big brother!!
Yes, his jammies don't match. We let him pick out his own ...a little Thomas and Cars action!
