Once we got out there, they got the hang of it. I had to carry Addy at most of the houses, but she said trick-or-treat and thank you at every house. Connor and Molly stuck together and went up to the houses unassisted.
The girls lasted about a half hour and wasted no time getting into their loot.
Connor had his party at school today and made this mask. It was on his face for most of the day today!
Happy Halloween!!

Trick-or-Treat
In our town, our Halloween Parade is always the Tuesday before Halloween and Trick-or-Treat is always the Thursday before Halloween. People think it is odd and complain about how it is on a school night or how it is rarely on Halloween, but I actually don't mind it. We have our school parties the same day and send the kids home all wound up (in their costumes) to go trick-or-treating. The best part is they come in on Friday, in a candy coma, and think that Halloween is over!
Here are the cutest Trick-or-Treaters in our neighborhood.
A feisty fireman and 2 cute M&M's. Addy wasn't so sure about all this.

2 times 2!
Today my little girls turn 2!! And boy are they turning into little girls.
I sat it a lot, but boy we've come a long way.
They are such a blessing to all of us. It is so sweet how they already show concern about each other. It is so fun to watch them interact with each other.
Addy is my shy girl. She has a hard time warming up to new situations. She is sweet and caring when it comes to her brother and sister. She loves to play with Connor and has this unbeliveable bond with my mom.
Molly is a bit of a brute. She is momma's girl. She likes to play near where I am and usually entertains herself while the other two are off playing. She does really funny things. I think she is going to be the one into shoes and dresses!!
They are both smart and have their daddy right where they want him : )

I'm sure this next year will fly, but 2's were my favorite age with Connor. I'm am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have!!!

Clearwater Beach
Last weekend, we took a little vacation to Clearwater Beach to celebrate Ken's birthday. It was the first time he has seen the girls on his birthday, he has been traveling the past two years for his big day. He had decided he wanted to travel this year too, just with his family!
I don't love to fly, but all three kids did great. Connor loved the beach, Molly warmed up to it nicely, and Addy wanted nothing to do with her feet in the sand. However she sat and dumped it on her legs! It was warm and beautiful while we were there.

It was a great first family vacation for us!!

heartbreaker
This is not the first or last time that this little blond is going to break my heart.
What an appropriate 100th post! Thanks Katie for the pressure to have a blog 4 years ago. Ha! 4 years to get 100 posts!!! Even if you are my only reader, I treasure these moments!
Connor had his first day of school ever this week. He is officially a preschooler. The cutest one in his class I might add.
I was nervous for him. He was nervous too. He told me in the morning he really wasn't into all this. I got more nervous. He did great though. I think he is going to love school and be a good student. I hope, but I really just want him to be a good person. I think we're doing ok according to his prayer last night, "Dear God, Tell the poor people I am earning pennies for them. Amen"
My favorite part...he is right in my building and goes with me every morning to school now. So why was this such a heart breaker?

Big Balloons!
We don't have too many exciting things for kids to do where we live. Don't get me wrong, we have many awesome parks and find things to do, but no zoo, or museum, or water park. So we were pretty excited last weekend when the balloons came to town. I mean it isn't every morning that we see this out the little ladies window! No zoom action here.
That night, we went to the Balloon Fest to watch them all take off. It was a sight to see them blow-up and then leave one by one.
I can only imagine what people driving down the highway were thinking.

The First Season
Tonight Connor finished his first season of t-ball (I still can't believe that my baby is old enough for organized sports). Being 4, we weren't sure how he'd take to it.
He loved it! He loved talking about his team and idolized his coaches. He couldn't wait to hit the ball and still can't decide if he likes hitting left or right handed better. He was really cute in his ready stance. He could hardly wait to see what the snack would be after every game!
We all loved watching him, even his sisters. They were very busy at the games.
Lookout soccer, here we come!

Oh, Donuts!!
Recently, the girls got to take their first trip to the donut store with the boys. They couldn't believe their eyes! They both kept pointing and saying, "bite, bite".
This is a fairly regular ritual for the boys. The girls are hoping they can be included more often!
