Christmas Program

I know I've mentioned a few times how cute this little boy is. Little boy!?! Take a look at this handsome guy. Where did my baby go?
Connor had his Preschool Christmas Program this week and when I told him he needed to dress up, he immediately asked if he could wear a tie. Sure we had two days to shop for an outfit, but we were getting him a tie. He may never want to wear a tie again! I sent the boys on errands and put it on their list : ) I think they did great or as Connor said, "mom, I think this may bring a tear to your eye" as he tried his clothes on.

(here he is giving his dad a thumbs up as he enters the stage)

He melts my heart everyday. And I love how he takes everything he does so seriously.

This is going to be one magical Christmas!

9 years!

Today Ken and I celebrate our 9 year anniversary!! I can't believe it has been 9 years. My how we've grown-up together!!! I looked back to see if I have ever blogged about our anniversary before. This is the only time I did. It made me smile because obviously I had no idea our future would hold twins...so here's to many more unpredictable years.

As the kids are yelling or driving us slightly crazy we always say to each other slightly sarcastically aren't we blessed. It is so true though, we are so lucky to have each other and 3 healthy, beautiful children.

Decking the halls

It never takes long for my decorator to move from one season to the next. He could hardly contain himself Thursday, waiting for Thanksgiving to pass. This year, he had way more help than he ever could have imagined!
They started in the house and got everything fall put away and got everything winter out.

The boys got the outside done and then decided on Saturday it would be a beautiful day to get a tree. They were right, it was much more fun in the mild weather than the years we froze picking the perfect tree.
We let it set over night and got to work today. It was a bit crazy, but turned out beautiful. Daddy added the finishing touches after his helpers had gone to bed.
We are looking forward a busy, but enjoyable holiday season!!

Trick-or-Treat

In our town, our Halloween Parade is always the Tuesday before Halloween and Trick-or-Treat is always the Thursday before Halloween. People think it is odd and complain about how it is on a school night or how it is rarely on Halloween, but I actually don't mind it. We have our school parties the same day and send the kids home all wound up (in their costumes) to go trick-or-treating. The best part is they come in on Friday, in a candy coma, and think that Halloween is over! Here are the cutest Trick-or-Treaters in our neighborhood.
A feisty fireman and 2 cute M&M's. Addy wasn't so sure about all this.

Once we got out there, they got the hang of it. I had to carry Addy at most of the houses, but she said trick-or-treat and thank you at every house. Connor and Molly stuck together and went up to the houses unassisted.
The girls lasted about a half hour and wasted no time getting into their loot.
Connor had his party at school today and made this mask. It was on his face for most of the day today!
Happy Halloween!!

2 times 2!

Today my little girls turn 2!! And boy are they turning into little girls.
I sat it a lot, but boy we've come a long way.
They are such a blessing to all of us. It is so sweet how they already show concern about each other. It is so fun to watch them interact with each other.

Addy is my shy girl. She has a hard time warming up to new situations. She is sweet and caring when it comes to her brother and sister. She loves to play with Connor and has this unbeliveable bond with my mom.
Molly is a bit of a brute. She is momma's girl. She likes to play near where I am and usually entertains herself while the other two are off playing. She does really funny things. I think she is going to be the one into shoes and dresses!!

They are both smart and have their daddy right where they want him : )

I'm sure this next year will fly, but 2's were my favorite age with Connor. I'm am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have!!!

Clearwater Beach

Last weekend, we took a little vacation to Clearwater Beach to celebrate Ken's birthday. It was the first time he has seen the girls on his birthday, he has been traveling the past two years for his big day. He had decided he wanted to travel this year too, just with his family!
I don't love to fly, but all three kids did great. Connor loved the beach, Molly warmed up to it nicely, and Addy wanted nothing to do with her feet in the sand. However she sat and dumped it on her legs! It was warm and beautiful while we were there. It was a great first family vacation for us!!

heartbreaker

This is not the first or last time that this little blond is going to break my heart.
Connor had his first day of school ever this week. He is officially a preschooler. The cutest one in his class I might add.
I was nervous for him. He was nervous too. He told me in the morning he really wasn't into all this. I got more nervous. He did great though. I think he is going to love school and be a good student. I hope, but I really just want him to be a good person. I think we're doing ok according to his prayer last night, "Dear God, Tell the poor people I am earning pennies for them. Amen"

My favorite part...he is right in my building and goes with me every morning to school now. So why was this such a heart breaker?

What an appropriate 100th post! Thanks Katie for the pressure to have a blog 4 years ago. Ha! 4 years to get 100 posts!!! Even if you are my only reader, I treasure these moments!
